KayCast Pro is free for everyone until 15 November
Update to version 1.0.4 from Google Play (rolling out now) and every Pro feature unlocks automatically, with no ads and nothing to buy — Guest Pass, the phone remote, auto-backup and more. When the offer ends on 15 November 2026 at 11:59 PM IST, KayCast returns to the free version unless Pro purchases are available again by then. Your playlists and settings are never touched.
Cleaner movie details, and trailers for every movie
The movie details screen has a tidier layout. "Watch trailer" now opens straight in YouTube, and if your provider doesn't supply a trailer you'll see "Search trailer on YouTube" instead.
Pro purchases are temporarily unavailable
If you tried to buy KayCast Pro and saw a payment error, it isn't your card or your account — we're waiting on a verification step with our payment provider, and Pro can't be purchased until it clears. You haven't been charged. Everything in the free version keeps working, and we'll post here as soon as Pro is available again.
Crossfade between tracks
Music now blends smoothly from one track into the next. Choose Off, 2s, 4s, 6s or 8s in the player's Playback tune sheet — it's Off by default.

Share what's currently playing with a friend for a few hours via a code, QR or link — no account needed on their end.
Phone-as-Remote now controls more of what's playing
Previously limited to one kind of playback — a paired phone can now play/pause, seek, and switch subtitles or audio no matter what's open on your TV.
Cast to DLNA/UPnP devices
Send what's playing to any DLNA-capable smart TV, soundbar or AVR on your network — no Chromecast required.
Redesigned Settings, and every accent colour is free
Settings on phone and TV now use a cleaner tile layout. All six accent colours are free for everyone — no longer a Pro perk.
